10 July 2006 00:20So there are two sides. A side that is morally right and a side that is morally wrong. What happens when one side decides to retain its identity but at the same time switches its moral standpoint?
This is what happened here.
This is where the angels wear black and have shaved heads. Their halos give off a violet rave light that makes their surly faces look sickly. They walk around with black scarves hiding the lower halves of their faces. They wear thick boots. Their wings are filthy. They perform miracles but not good ones. Mean miracles. Like the old school genies in the stories.
Nobody wants to go to Heaven anymore. And Hell is still a bad place. Of course, a lot of the demons have come up as well seeing as the angels have shown themselves.
Belief doesn’t matter. Agnostics aren’t waiting for proof anymore and atheists no longer exist. They’re like a forgotten flat-earth society. The churches are pretty much boarded up now after the riots.
What I’m saying is that humans aren’t looked up to anymore. They’re kept alive for sport. They’re kept alive to be living poker chips.
The balance has been thrown out. The détente has been called off. The apocalypse? The rapture? Forget about it. Not even worth discussing.
Sure demons and angels still hate each other. It’s just that neither of them care about humans anymore.
We get to fend for ourselves in the midst of this.
The demons mostly just get drunk and tear people apart sometimes. Like giant red skinned bikers but with horns and immortal.
The angels have an almost domino jackboot goth scene going with their need to dress in black and white. I saw one wearing a German SS cap the other day. Not that they're all caucasian like in the paintings. It's just that the black ones are cut from night. There are no brown angels.
They’re all poisonous.
The humans, though. You think they panic? Hell no. They just keep going to work and having families. The biology won’t let them become lemmings. They’re all scared but they keep walking forward.
This is one of the nightmare futures.
