skonen_bladesHey there everyone. Well, for those of you that don't know, I entered Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) this year and I completed it. My first novel. Yay! It's messy as hell. There are parts that are good. The last 'epilogue' chapter is just six summation sentences. There are parts that are weak as well and keep in mind that this is completely unedited.
For those of you that are even remotely interested in perusing it, here you go. It has fairies and steampunk in it. Mmm-mm good. You might recognize some old characters if you're a regular here. You'll see some new people.
I was surprised by some characters that stood around and did nothing. I was surprised by some characters that popped up out of nowhere and started tearing the place apart. It was awesome.
It's affected my writing in the way that it's now a challenge to keep it under a thousand words instead of struggling to hit five hundred for my daily writing.
Just over 52,000 words. Woot!
