Working remotely is easy
After years of living remotely
And some might say that it isn’t remotely living
But we’ve been so far away for so long
We can’t notice the lag anymore
We seanced our own spirits to the table
Spelled jk on the Ouija board
Before ghosting ourselves
And we weren’t even mad
Because we get it
We’d ghost us, too
So we zoom nowhere
Twelve Max Headrooms in one meeting
Pictures saying a thousand words
In real time
While time continues to be unreal
The pause that lasts a year and then another
And ‘when this is all over’ starts to sound more and more like
‘after the war’
But we can all have the last laugh
If we were never here in the first place
