Took it a few days ago. I saw some playing cards lying in a driveway that had all been extremely weathered by the rain. It was a flash of red that caught my eye at first but I failed to find a queen of hearts or something heart-related. I got this Ace of Spades, though. Isn't the Ace of Spades the card of Death? I like that it, too, has died.

Most cartomancers don't like using the "OMG DEATH" interpretation (some don't even like using negative symbolism) but instead see it as representing a time of drastic change or great hardship.

I would interpret it as death, since I don't prefer the non-committal, vague and general-on-purpose kind of BS that most cartomancers seem to pilfer. Especially if it's inverted, which it seems to be.

So yes, it's the death card.

Yeah, I know from my few forays into Tarot or whatever that the death card is actually a symbol of rebirth, renewal and possible harsh upheaval rather than the DEATHZORS that it's usually shown as in teh movies.
But yeah. I heard that inversion does change the meaning but I've heard from people that that's sort of up to the cartomancer as well.
I just did a tarot reading for a friend of mine this afternoon, actually. Coincidence? I THINK SO!
