Legendary Saturday

Such an amazing Saturday that I had to make a new LJ icon just for the occasion. Here is the story in pictures.
Housewarming, going away party, Megatron concert, Battlestar Galactica wrap party, Masquerade concert.

They started the Rockband and I bailed to go to my friend Matt's going-away party. He's departing for Montreal.

After that, I went to the Commodore to see Megatron open up for the Budos Band with Chandra and Sam. I wish they'd change their name. Megatron does not say "best jazz trio I've ever seen". They are, though, and I highly recommend you see them if they come this way again.

After that I went to the Battlestar Galactica wrap party. It was so touching. Edward James Olmos gave an impassioned speech saying how in 46 years of television, he's never worked on something with this impact on the culture or sense of family. There were some tears. I ended up in the front row of the presentation standing in between Tricia Helfer and Christina Schild. Pretty much like some sort of nerd dream. It was a good time.

After that, it was off to see Harm's Road, Erin Puckey's band, at The Fall. It was a masquerade. Sam was there. Rose/Naomi, too. It was great to finally get to see Harm's Road put on a show. Good times.

After that, it was poutine and then home to bed. Legendary night.

A housewarming at Andrew and Sarah's. While I was there, the girls thought it would be a good idea to braid pink ribbons through my hair and beard. Well, you know me.
